Price Forbes has named a new lead for its Singapore reinsurance and wholesale operations as it continues to build out its Asia-Pacific business.

The specialty insurance broker has announced that Dick Heath (pictured) has been appointed head of reinsurance and wholesale, Singapore, effective immediately. In the role, Heath will report to Philip Johnson, chief executive officer of Price Forbes Asia-Pacific.

Heath will oversee the development of Price Forbes’ reinsurance and wholesale offering in Singapore, with responsibility for expanding the platform and responding to evolving demand in the regional reinsurance market. His appointment aligns with the firm’s operating structure in Singapore, which is organized around three business areas: reinsurance & wholesale, specialty & retail, and marine, credit & political risk.

The company said this structure is intended to allow each segment to operate with a dedicated focus while supporting overall growth in the Singapore business.

Heath joins Price Forbes from Gallagher, where he most recently served as CEO for Asia. He previously led the expansion of Gallagher’s regional operations as managing director of its Singapore hub. He brings more than 40 years of experience in insurance broking and underwriting, including 12 years working in the Singapore market.

Heath said he is joining the firm at a period of expansion for both the company and the wider regional market.
