Customers can now compare premiums and coverage side-by-side before completing applications digitally.

Cigna Healthcare Hong Kong has seen a 38% year-on-year increase in visits to its online insurance application platforms as more customers start their health insurance search digitally.

The insurer has refreshed its online health insurance experience to help customers compare plans, assess coverage, obtain quotations and complete applications online, with support from Cigna representatives.

The updated platform includes a “Choose Your Insurance” tool that uses customers’ answers to provide tailored plan recommendations.

Customers can also compare plan features, premiums and coverage side by side.

The platform provides instant premium quotations and allows customers to add family members to a single application.

Customers who need assistance can speak with Cigna representatives through WhatsApp Live Chat or a hotline.

Applicants can also save their progress and return to their applications later, allowing them to complete the process at their own pace.

For payments, customers can use email payment links or QR codes for recurring premiums, with options including Faster Payment System (FPS), PayMe, UnionPay, debit cards and credit cards.

Michael Khan, CEO at Cigna Healthcare Hong Kong, said the insurer is responding to the growing number of customers starting their health insurance journey online.

“As more customers begin their health insurance journey online, we're making it easier for them to understand their options and find coverage that fits their individual needs,” Khan said.
