Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. has opened three new business offices (NBOs), bringing its total to 100, the company announced.

According to Sun Life, the company ranks number one among life insurers in the Philippines based on total premium income. The three new offices expand Sun Life’s footprint in Metro Manila and Central Luzon.

Two of the new NBOs – Centurion Tree and Willow Tree – are located on the eighth floor of One Trium Tower along Pacific Rim Drive in Filinvest City, Alabang, Muntinlupa. The third, Moringa Tree NBO, is housed at the BOF Corporate Center in San Fernando, Pampanga. Sun Life said the Pampanga office began operations in October before its formal inauguration.

“We open 2026 with this momentum as we stay committed to reaching and serving more Filipinos,” said JJ Moreno, president of Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. “With the opening of three new NBOs, we aim to provide our clients and advisors with more convenient touchpoints to enhance the overall service experience.”

The Alabang offices are positioned near major commercial hubs in southern Metro Manila, while the Pampanga branch extends the company’s reach into Central Luzon, according to the company.

The NBO expansion comes on the back of strong financial performance. According to data released by the Insurance Commission (IC), Sun Life’s total premium income climbed to ₱61.8 billion in 2025, extending its market leadership to 15 consecutive years. The company also ranked first in net income, net worth, invested assets, and total assets.

Sun Life’s total premium income placed it ahead of its nearest competitor by ₱8.9 billion. Of the total, ₱25.9 billion came from traditional products and ₱35.9 billion from variable products.

Total premiums written by the Philippine insurance industry reached ₱502.64 billion in 2025, a 14.1% increase from ₱440.53 billion in 2024. Life insurance remained the dominant segment, accounting for just over four-fifths of total premiums.

Looking ahead, Sun Life said it plans to further expand its digital capabilities and advisor network in 2026.
